I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uni Seoul (Pune) in Apr 2025
Interview
I went through multiple rounds of interviews, investing significant time and effort, only to be told at the end that the position was suddenly on hold due to budget constraints. There was no indication of this earlier in the process, showing a clear lack of respect for the candidate's time.
After being informed that I was shortlisted, I was asked to submit documents. Collecting documents and giving false hope, only to abruptly halt the process, is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the company's professionalism. After 4–5 interview rounds, I had a detailed discussion with the co-founder regarding the salary. I agreed to the offered CTC and was asked to confirm my decision after speaking with him in the evening. He requested a final answer by the next morning.
I was told that an offer letter would be sent out and that I could begin the resignation process from my current role. I had even discussed this with my internal team. However, the next morning, I received an email stating that I was rejected because senior management did not approve the extended budget. I fail to understand the point of the call with the co-founder if the decision wasn’t aligned with the rest of the leadership.
This situation worsened my position at my current workplace, where I was already at risk of losing my job. They were clearly looking for an experienced candidate who could join immediately at one of the lowest salary structures in the market. Despite all this, the way they treated candidates was highly unprofessional.
If a company can't manage its hiring pipeline professionally, it raises serious concerns about how they operate internally. The entire experience was disappointing and completely avoidable.
