      Customer Success Manager Interview

      30 Jun 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Unified (New York, NY) in Jun 2016

      Interview

Applied online and was then emailed by a recruiter to set up an initial phone call. The person started the call by saying that to maximize time, they wanted me to walk through my resume, then they would talk more about the company and position, and then I could ask questions. Overall the person presented themselves to be rather arrogant. I've never heard a person be more confident in the background of people they wanted for a position while simultaneously contradicting themselves on what the position calls for. I was startled at first because I felt that I didn't have the background and confused as what they said was not in the actual job posting. But then when they described what the CSM does it fit very well with my expectations and my background.

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Unified (New York, NY) in Dec 2017

      Interview

As I was living overseas during the interview process, a lot of conversations were done via video call. I first had a short call with the HR hiring representative, telling me more about the role and the hiring process. Next, I had an interview with someone in the same role I was applying for for about 30 minutes. She was giving me more insights on the role, recent wins, challenges, and the company culture. I was telling more about my background, role and ambitions. Then, I did a candidate assessment (personality test) online which took about 1 hour. The next step was an interview series with representatives from different department (the hiring manager and heads of other departments I would be working together with). It was around 30-45 minutes per conversation, all via video call. Again, I gave an overview of my background, experience, strengths and challenges - and had the opportunity to ask all the questions I had on the company, role, and industry. The recruitment team was very friendly, reactive, and professional. They provided timelines, agenda invitations, and dial-ins for every interview. Even though the recruitment representative changed during the process, I did not experience any delays or confusion. They did a great job in offering insights and timelines - so I was always informed and able to manage my expectations.
