The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uniscon (Berlin)
Interview
I was contacted by an external recruiter. After discussion my CV was submitted to Uniscon. After submitting my CV, it was selected for further process and 1st interview was arranged with the director of engineering and product manager. It was a kind of tech-manager interview. It was really good, we had a good discussion. After that there was a technical interview with two senior engineers. Or I would say quiz rather than interview. This was not a positive experience for me. From the beginning of the interview, the interviewers were very expressionless and read their questions. There was no discussion about any topic. Just questions and answers. Also, after every few minutes I was hearing "we need to consider time as we have limited time". It was 1 hour interview. I think they were looking for exact answers. In last 10-15 mins, they said I need to review java code. This was the worst and most stupid thing I have ever encountered 😂. They showed a spring controller, but it cannot be compiled. You need to assume it's a spring controller and review annotations which are in comments. I started reviewing the code, but the interviewer asked to review the annotations and method type. How can you ask someone to review your REST API design in code? You first design an API and make a contract. Then in code review you change the contract? Like change the api method, response, request? It is called API design review not code review. Also, still if you want to do I would suggest to put some time to make your code compilation error free. I would suggest other candidates prepare the following questions with bookish answers. Also, after interview they did not provide any update, when I followed up with recruiter he updated after few days that my application is rejected without any kind of feedback.
