I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unity (Bellevue, WA) in Mar 2018
Interview
I applied online and received an email the next day to set up a phone interview with one of the in-house recruiters. He was very pleasant to speak with - he asked good questions specific to my background and resume (I could tell he looked closely at it before our call), and he gave a lot of additional insight on the job. I received an email the next day to arrange an onsite interview, and we scheduled it for the following week. The onsite interview ran for about an hour and a half in total - I met 1:1 with a manager and 3 employees I would work with if hired. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable onsite - even going as far as taking me to the kitchen and offering some snacks - and they asked good questions about why I wanted to join Unity, why I was interested in this role in particular, and how I would have handled hypothetical situations on the job. Had I made it to the final round I would have spoken with the department manager in Europe (via videoconference), and it sounds like an offer would have been made from there.
Everyone I spoke with was world-class. The recruiting team was professional, well-spoken and helpful, and quick to follow up on next steps. The recruiter even offered to chat on the phone to discuss why I wasn't selected, and he gave some great feedback in his call. It was a very positive experience overall.
