The interview process lasted over two months and felt poorly organised. Stakeholder meetings were often scheduled at short notice, and there appeared to be limited alignment or communication between interviewers regarding candidates. There was also a lack of awareness that I attended two in-person interviews as part of a four-stage process, which felt disproportionate given the relatively low salary offered.
Ultimately, the role was not offered to either of the two final-round candidates, including myself. During the process, the scope of the role appeared to change significantly—from project management, to buying and merchandising, and then to design and production. This shift suggested a lack of clarity around the role requirements, as it is unlikely one individual would realistically possess all of these skill sets.
