      Junior M&A Consultant Interview

      11 Sept 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Reading, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unloq (Reading, England) in Aug 2023

      Interview

Initial phone call to go over the role, followed by competency interview, and a second practical 'interview' in which I found potential acquisitions based on a client's criteria. The competency interview mostly went over my CV, where I discussed my experience and answered questions about it. There was a willingness to keep the interview informal, and it felt more like a back and forth discussion rather than an interrogation.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What is it about module x (mentioned on CV) on your degree that you think is relevant to role? Again, mostly focuses on CV, with a smattering of competency-type questions at the end. Scenarios Mock phone call.
