I applied online. I interviewed at UpStack (NY) in Sept 2023
Interview
Pretty typical interview process. Pre-screen by HR, interview with hiring manager, and then an interview with your skip-level manager. Nothing out of the ordinary -- all typical interview questions. Transparent about next steps.

Question 1
Why are you leaving your current role? Why UPSTACK?
Went through two interview rounds. One with the recruiter and then one with the manager. Both were routine interview questions. But I did get ghosted by the company when I tried to reach out to see if I’d move onto a 3rd round of interviews. No response after reaching out a couple of times.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at UpStack (NY) (New York, NY) in Nov 2022
Interview
I was engaged by an exogenous recruiter so my experience may differ slightly from the vanilla experience. The interview process commenced with a general vetting conversation with said recruiter. From there the general flow played out as follows: - Technical take-home assignment - Hiring manager screening - Engineering panel interview - Product panel interview - CTO interview NOTE: All interviews were conducted remotely. I was poised to have a final discussion with the CEO before a decision was made, but ultimately the recruiter let me know that it wouldn't be necessary. Overall I found the entire interview process to be very fair, organized and dare I say even enjoyable. Every single person I engaged with during the interview was high class which is a very rare experience indeed. Best of luck—
