Very straightforward. Good to have background knowledge of climbing, but they're mostly looking for a friendly personality and reliability. Helps to be good with kids as they do a lot of birthday parties and classes

Interview
You sit in the office and talk with the two general managers about previous experience and interests pertaining to the job. They will offer for you to set up a day to come in and shadow an assistant manager to make sure what they do during a shift is still interesting to you. You'll be paid for this shadowing. If you are still interested after shadowing you'll fill out paperwork to be hired officially.

Interview
You sit down with the general manager to discuss the functions required of the server, as well as the culture the business fpromotes. Emphasis is placed on the importance of bringing energy and a fresh perspective to work each day. They tell you explicitly that the work environment should is fun and that if you do not agree this may not be the place for you. Interestingly, this acts as self-selection, and the team working their (while I was employed) did have a lot of fun, and the work environment was very positive.
