Phone interview. 2 in-person interviews. 3 week lag between interview and final notification as I believe the hiring manager came across another candidate during her final considerations. I was referred to another hospital nearby as hiring manager believed that although I may not be a fit for this hospital, I would be a good fit for VCA overall.
A recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. I was interviewed in person by upper management and the medical director. I was mostly asked about my professional experience. The interviewers posed some thought-provoking questions, but nothing too challenging overall.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my professional experience and what I thought I could bring to their hospital.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at VCA (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Phone screen and 2 onsite interviews. Lengthy interview process, 1-2 weeks between each interview.
Both onsite interview styles were odd. Questions were situational and based on their environment, rather than based on your experience. I found it difficult to redirect every question.
Job requirements were not clearly stated in the description and additional requirements were mentioned throughout the interview process.
Ultimately, after following up twice after my 3rd interview, I was still never formally rejected.
