The interview process is a bit long and drawn out. Not only that, but payments get sent out mid-month. This is a warning. If I had known it would take at least a week to finish the process, I would have planned better as I moved straight from my academy teaching job to entirely online. The first stage of the interview is a 15 minute class given on a PowerPoint presentation. This is given to you beforehand along with an excel document with the class objectives that MUST be achieved during the simulation class with an adult employee, and some training videos that you're required to watch (a few hours of videos which will be reimbursed to you upon completion of the contract). There's also about 10 minutes of interview time where the interviewer asked about my experience as a teacher and checked if I would be able to commit to the minimum hour requirement per week, as well as the materials requirements. I was notified the next day that they would offer me a contract provided that I passed the next stage of the interview : the practicum. I again had to watch a few hours of training videos and prorated to teach a full class. The practicum consisted of a few minutes of questions, 15 minutes of class time, a break to discuss what I could do better, then finishing the class and more discussion. You have a maximum of 25 minutes to teach the class, so you must prepare in advance as well as prepare extra material as needed. This is important to do because some of the slides are confusing, and the language level of the imaginary student is low. There are other things they look for that are detailed in the training videos. I was given an offer by email a few hours later. But beware, there are even more training videos to watch about protocol and a quick quiz on the info before you're allowed to post your availability. This whole process took me 2 weeks! But you can certainly do it in less time if you power through the training videos.
