I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at VIPKid (London, England)
Interview
Terrible, unfair process. I passed every part of the interview and was constantly receiving gushing feedback. Then, after the second mock class, they told me that I wasn't good enough and deactivated my account. This was after both of my mentors told me I would pass and asked me to buy a headset and lamps before I began teaching. I already have years of online ESL teaching experience and positive reviews from all of my students, so it came as a huge shock. The mentors should not lie and tell teachers how amazing and wonderful they are if in reality, they are lying. VIPKID also expects teachers to invest money into props and expensive equipment in the interview process, which I will never get to use in a teaching situation.

Question 1
What is your teaching experience?
What does TPR stand for?
: We apologize for any miscommunication issues you may have experienced at the time of your application to become a VIPKID teacher. We are working hard to improve our response time and offer clearer, more consistent feedback. We hope we can offer a better experience if you decide to reapply!
just a quick demo lesson following the course materials, then a few logistical questions and talk about the program. Was quite quick and easy overall if you have teaching experience..
Pretty simple! There was a live and recorded portion where you "teach" a sample class. My interviewer was nice and helpful. Make sure your internet is good and use a wired connection
Easy and straight forward interview process. There is a demo teaching section. This was a while ago so it may have changed. The onboarding process was also easy. Again, this was a while ago, so it may have changed.
