I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at VIPKid (Beijing, Beijing) in Sept 2017
Interview
Long-- three step process. This is more of a process than applying to work in a bricks and mortar. You must teach one way or no way... They put you through 2 mock interviews and then a lengthy process to complete your application. While working for them they do not believe that emergencies arise and I believe it's a cultural disconnect. We can't help working in the USA and our employers caring about people then a number.
Currently, we are working to improve our recruitment procedures and apologize for any miscommunication that occurred during your interview. We have already implemented several new guidelines for our recruiters to help minimize this, and we would love to hear back from you in the future.
However, we're very glad that you ended up overcoming any issues and that you're part of the VIPKID Community! Happy teaching!

Interview
just a quick demo lesson following the course materials, then a few logistical questions and talk about the program. Was quite quick and easy overall if you have teaching experience..
Pretty simple! There was a live and recorded portion where you "teach" a sample class. My interviewer was nice and helpful. Make sure your internet is good and use a wired connection
Easy and straight forward interview process. There is a demo teaching section. This was a while ago so it may have changed. The onboarding process was also easy. Again, this was a while ago, so it may have changed.
