I submitted my resume and application online. Then I interviewed with a Chinese national who spoke excellent English. After the interview, I taught a very brief demo lesson to the Chinese adult who pretended to be a child. After that, I taught two longer lessons to an American national (fellow teacher at VIPKID) who critiqued me and made recommendations to the company. After that I was hired.

just a quick demo lesson following the course materials, then a few logistical questions and talk about the program. Was quite quick and easy overall if you have teaching experience..
Pretty simple! There was a live and recorded portion where you "teach" a sample class. My interviewer was nice and helpful. Make sure your internet is good and use a wired connection
Easy and straight forward interview process. There is a demo teaching section. This was a while ago so it may have changed. The onboarding process was also easy. Again, this was a while ago, so it may have changed.
