      Sales Manager Interview

      4 Feb 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Validity (Boston, MA)

      Interview

Came in and talked with one person for an hour. He talked about knowing right away if someone would be a fit and if not them just put them on plan and get rid of them. To always have people interview. This is the definition of a churn and burn place. Not many teams hit quota and that is because they didn’t have their “marketing machine” ready with leads. It was embarrassing to even be there. I reached out and said thanks but no thanks. This company just buys other company’s and this should be your last resort for a job if you are an AE. There is zero development here and it’s sad that companies like this still exist. The director didn’t know what MEDDIC was either.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent interview. I'm disappointed that you walked away feeling that Validity does not develop its team members (we absolutely do!) and that this is a "churn and burn place". Validity is anything but a churn-and-burn environment, but you may not know that from just one, one-hour long interview. Validity works hard to hire the right people, develop them and help them move their careers forward here, all while doing great work and building relationships. If our interviews are not reflecting our culture of development and performance, we need to fix that. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
