The first round is a recruiter screen, followed by a coding problem. My interviewer for the second round was late for 5 minutes. There was no apologies, and did not make up for it. She abruptly ended the interview, saying "times up". She did not even give me the chance to ask questions.
The question was fairly straight forward on the surface, but it's easy to overthink and attempt all sorts of optimization. All along, I pointed out all these issues/questions but I get no help from the interviewer at all. I was told to do whatever I want and make whatever assumptions. Overall, not a great experience as the interviewer was disengaged. I did not get to move beyond this round.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Valon
Interview
Recruiter first scheduled a call with me, after that was done, scheduled an interview with an engineer there, then the interviewer question wasn't hard and was able to get it right. Was a typical leetcode question, on the easier but more tedious side of things. Still got a rejection the next morning. Very disappointing.
Fair process with a system design question, two coding rounds, and multiple behavioral interviews. Enjoyed the process, but waited in between rounds for a fair amount of time before hearing back.
