      Client Coordinator Interview

      18 Feb 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Phoenix, AZ
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Valassis has a very thorough interview process. First, there was an interview with the recruiter for pre-screening. Immediately following the pre-screening interview, a 3-hour onsite session is scheduled comprised of a discussion with two individuals (one of them remote) and a test. The test measures skills in Excel , math , communications, and attention to detail. A final teleconference is then conducted with managers in the Michigan home office. At every step, the process is professional and informative. I am glad to have had the opportunity to interview with this organization.

      Client Coordinator Interview

      18 May 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Livonia, MI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vericast (Livonia, MI) in May 2018

      Interview

I received an email one day following my application submission requesting a telephone interview. That interview was very thorough and lasted approximately 45 minutes. We reviewed my resume, professional experience in the form of situational questions, I was asked how proficient I was in the Microsoft suite and we took a deep dive into what I was looking for in a career and my salary expectations. At the end of the conversation she informed me that they would like me to come in for a Blitz interview. She explained it as a interview that would consist of a role preview, 2 interviews with senior leadership and 4 assessment exercises. The Blitz was great, it was intense because there were about 11 other candidates and the day lasted about 4 hours. I thought it was a fantastic way for the candidated to determine if they really wanted to work for the company and a great way for the interviewer to get to know that candidate. All of the questions are situational and you have to be extremely detailed in your responses. The assessments are communication (you write an email response), math, proof reading and excel. I would say they are easy to moderate in difficulty. The entire process from application submission to offer was about 3 weeks, which was very impressive!
