I applied online through LinkedIn and received an email from the recruiter for a resume screening. After about a week, I had a 30-minute interview with the Team Lead and Hiring Manager, covering resume-related questions, my thought process, and skills. At the end of the interview, the Hiring Manager informed me I would move to the next onsite interview round. However, the recruiter ghosted me for two weeks despite 3–4 follow-ups before finally scheduling the onsite loop.
The onsite interviews included:
A coding round with a Senior Manager focused on C#, threading, and multitasking.
A technical interview with two developers covering Docker, AWS, SQL, and a coding exercise.
A behavioral interview with the Team Lead.
A fourth interview with the Director of the department was scheduled but canceled because they were unavailable. The recruiter said I’d hear back soon, but I was ghosted again until, after more follow-ups, I was told they were still completing the process with other candidates. The following day, I was informed they decided to move forward with another candidate.
Strangely, the position is still listed as open on the company’s website, and I’ve been contacted by other recruiters about the same role. I felt the interviews went well overall and answered nearly all their questions, except for one in the Senior Manager round. The lack of communication and transparency from the recruitment process was disappointing.
