Dear Team,
I'm writing this note to make sure this dosent happen with anyone else. Yes, my name is Phanidhar and i'm embarrassed. I'm a random guy who attended a f-2-f interview at Vertex Computer Systems, Cyber Gateways on 19/02/2018. Before writing review in Glass-door about my interview experience, I wanted you to know my pain that how can any company reject a candidate just because an email subject line is not appealing?
- If you had no intention to hire then why are you scouting candidates for an interviews?
- If an interviewer don't have time to spend to know the candidate, then why on earth did you ask the candidate to come for an interview? Just a phone call could suffice to say i was not through the round.
- I asked to be at Vertex Computer Systems at 2:00PM to attend the interview, but interviewer came at 2.30PM and he had the time not more than 7 mins? I came all along from Bangalore to Hyderabad spending my time and money just to face those precious 7mins?
- I was asked to write an email as part of the selection criteria, I'm sure that I performed really well in the whole process, but might have less experience in email writing skills but still, i believe i have given my best.
Suggestion
- If you hiring for sales position, look for campaign knowledge, lead generation capabilities as main focus. if you want a top notch emails, hire marketing content writers!
Please train your interviewer in the first place to make sure he is shortlisting candidates in right way. - I wonder how can interviewer is not at office at 2:00PM when there is an interview scheduled at 2:00PM. I seriously doubt his time management skills and he is judging my email writing skills!
I seriously wonder how you are handling such an esteemed customers like P&G, Nestle, etc with these kind of people. I came to know that the candidates who were selected were close to the interviewer or his friends. I feel, that cannot be a criteria for selection. DEFINITELY NOT. For your entertainment, please dont ask job seekers to come from out of city just to reject with no reason.
Needless to say, i believe, i dont have to regret for what happened with me. My rejection was a blessing in disguise.
ALL THE BEST VERTEX!
Best Regards
