Virtu Financial Fullstack Developer interview questions

Interview process is Language Oriented ( Doesn't matter what recruiter says ). --------------------------------------- Full Version -------------------------------------- I was approached by recruiter X. Recruiter X explained me the Roles and Responsibility and learned about my background. ( I really liked the way he treated my frequent changes due to lay offs ). Recruiter X specifically said, first round will be DSA round and entire interview process is language agnostic. Based on what Recruiter X said, I scheduled my rounds within next 2 days. I was excited because I was fully prepared for DSA in cpp. On the interview day, the Interviewer Y said, I have to do DSA / LLD based question in Javascript. I changed language to cpp , but he again asked me to solve it in javascript. I would have solved the whole problem along with test cases in cpp within 15 minutes, but it took more than 50 minutes just because of unforeseen language restriction. --------------------- Since role was Fullstack, it is perfectly fine for Interviewer Y to expect me to know javascript. But recruiter should announce that. I would have taken 1 week to revise javascript syntax and come very well prepared. ( Last time I worked on front-end was 2 years ago, my previous role didn't require me to work on front-end ).
