The entire recruitment process was done in 4 steps:
- A video call with the HR that manages recruitment : Relatively straightforward interview. Questions about the candidate general skills, experiences and hobbies.
- An Online technical test : Bog standard online test with coding exercises and multiple choice questions. Be careful once you start it you have a limited amount of time to complete it.
- Interview with a relevant Lead for the position: Many questions aimed to test the broadness of the candidates skills (Math, Physics, Rendering, Multithreading etc...)
- Final Interview with HR Director : If you've reached this point it is very likely you will get an offer . Mostly a summary of previous interviews making sure that both the companies and candidates expectations have been properly communicated during the previous steps.
Overall everyone involved was very nice and open minded even when talking about more challenging topics like Diversity and Ethics in the gaming industry.
They also made an active effort to maintain communication with reasonable delays during the entire recruitment process... They even had another HR send mails during the Christmas holidays to make sure I wasn't left hanging for too long, even though the next interview had to be postponed for quite a while. This really made me feel like they cared and respected my time.
