The hiring manager called me, set up a phone interview.
speech group manager called, then an onsite.
Pros:
1. They really respect the interviewee. They accommodate me in a very luxury hotel and reimburse my travel pretty fast.
2. Some interviewers are very sharp and nice, they know how to make you relaxed and talk about your research and possible industrial applications.
3 Very detail questions on acoustic modeling and language modeling, good for hard-core speech application people.
4. Very quick response
Cons:
1. Get ready, they are segmental people, if you are working on speech processing in human communication or dialog analysis (emotion, prosody), they may have difficulty understanding the problems.
2. Check the train early if they ask you to live in Boston, the train in the morning can be a little tricky.
