My hiring process started months prior to coming on-board, and took the form initially as a series of phone conversations exploring work philosophy, work/life needs, location/transportation needs, and other general concerns. During this time, the conversations delved into specifics of my experience, and the typical questions that go between potential employment partners. No surprises or "gotchas", nor any of the silly antics you may have been thrown earlier in your career (trick questions, role-play, etc.). You are treated as a human being, with respect and dignity, and the greater concern is just with getting a good fit, with a person with the right skills to succeed for the client.
