I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WSP (Leeds, England)
Interview
After my online application (CV) was accepted, I was invited to complete an online video interview. This was fairly straight forward as there were 7 questions to answer and it only took around 15 minutes. Most of the questions were competency based such as 'Describe a time where you had made a mistake, what did you do/learn from that experience?'
I was contacted a couple of weeks later to congratulate me on passing the video interview stage. Consequently, I was then invited to meet with two of the WSP Highways team members in the Leeds office for a face-to-face interview.
The interview lasted about an hour, the atmosphere was very relaxed but formal. They based most of their questions on my CV and past experiences before/during university, as well as getting to know me better as a person. They also asked me about my knowledge of the company, some of projects that WSP have undertaken, and gave me the opportunity to ask them my own questions.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience. The interviewers were friendly and encouraging in order to get to know the 'real me'. Make sure you've done some research on the company and their projects prior to the interview. Still waiting for an offer and feedback.
