      Human Resources Manager Interview

      25 Feb 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Winston-Salem, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Waffle House (Winston-Salem, NC) in May 2010

      Interview

The phone interview came from a recruiter, who describe the perfect environment. About a week and a half later I had a panel interview. I was told I was coming for a 1:1 interview. It was held in their supply closet. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. The panel consisted of the Area People Director, and two people who would be co-workers. One of which made snide remarks towards me the entire interview. I was then told they had a long process of choosing candidates, part of which includes asking spouses of the candidate to come in for a "meet and greet" where they would too get asked questions. I was asked to meet the Area People Director in a public place in two weeks, where I was to take their assessment test on their laptop. That took about an hour. I was asked to come back 2 weeks later and work behind the counter because that is the only way I would know what my people did. I worked behind the counter and was told I would also be walking to local businesses to give out coupons. At the end of the day of working behind the counter, I was then given another another interview by the snide participate of the first interview. That day took about 4 hours. I was told that the Area People Director was to give me the W-4 form for working that day but was busy in HR Manager interviews so the Area People Director would get it to me. After calling the individual for 2 weeks and several e-mails, I tried calling the original recruiter to get the form. He emailed me one. A month after he emailed it to me, I got an email from the Area People Director telling me she just got my emails and she would send me the W-4 form. Which she never did. The position is not what they present it to be. Real HR professionals do not waste your time!
