      Marketing Operations Manager Interview

      16 Jan 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Wand in Dec 2025

      Interview

I interviewed for a marketing operations role and went through multiple interview stages. After those conversations, I was asked to complete an unpaid assignment, which I submitted on December 23. I was told the team would review it after the holidays and discuss next steps once everyone was back. Since then, despite multiple polite follow-ups to HR and interviewers, I did not receive any response or closure. I understand that hiring can slow down around the holidays and at the beginning of the year. What stood out was not the delay itself, but the lack of communication after requesting a meaningful time investment. At least one other candidate, shared the exact same experience with me here on Glassdoor a couple months back. Ghosting after an unpaid assignment felt unprofessional and disrespectful of candidate time. Sharing this experience so future candidates can clarify timelines and expectations upfront before committing to unpaid work. *EDIT: They got back to me, stating there was some internal issues where it causes communication to fail. I am not very confident of the reasons they gave as it comes after a day after I messaged the CEO directly on LinkedIn considering there was another interview of which the candidate shared the exact same experience(under a different name, company went through rebrand recently), but it doesn't really matter since they went with another candidate. This does not change anything.
