We. Communications interview questions

I had a recruiter screening phone call + a first round interview with two members of the team. Both interviews went great and seemed very promising. Still had not heard back 10 days after that first-round interview. After following up with their recruiter, I learned that the position had already been filled and that the recruiter who had been speaking with me had left the company within those 10 days. Just annoying that my application was seemingly forgotten about, and they continued interviewing other candidates.
