I applied online. I interviewed at WebsterRogers (Bluffton, SC)
Interview
Initial and subsequent panel interviews were daunting with parties involved exhibiting very dated, OCD type inflexibility (1980's CPA firm) and emphasizing overtime, overtime, overtime on and off-season. Hence the massive turnover and constant job openings. Most other CPA firms stress their reduced hours off -season to attract new staff. These people will deliberately tell you otherwise. The position was paid hourly and quite honestly, someone working 30-35 hours a week is better than no one at all if you have a certain workload.

Question 1
What do I do for hobbies and others things outside of work? Clever way to eek personal information. I would suggest sticking with "I read books" as opposed to anything else that would suggest you have a life outside of accounting. They do not want to hear that.

Interview
First a phone screening. Once I passed that and was told I would be scheduled for an interview; it took the hiring manager 48 days to contact me for an interview. It was a group interview and no one was prepared. My resume was looked over the whole time as if it was never read. The lead interviewer showed up 25 minutes late.
