I appreciate that the call was quickly scheduled. I was prepared to discuss usual topics of a recruiting call: professional background, experience, skills, as well as role responsibilities, total compensation, etc. However, I was very surprised when the (rather unfriendly) recruiter jumped into asking questions typically asked by a hiring manager. I fumbled badly as I was thrown off, not expecting that line of questioning. Also, she would have ended the call without providing an opportunity for me to ask questions had I not asked. The experience was awkward and off-putting and unlike any recruiting call over my 20 year career. This could be one unpleasant, rogue recruiter or perhaps truly represent how Wellness Pet operates; either way, be prepared for a potentially unconventional recruiting call from an unpleasant recruiter.
