      Training Manager Interview

      2 Dec 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Vilnius
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Western Union (Vilnius) in Nov 2022

      Interview

Unfortunately, the whole hiring process was a big mess. I was interviewed by a recruiter on a phone, then I was invited to a meeting with a hiring team. The interview went well, it was really interesting to getting know more about the team and the tasks that they were doing. But then it became chaotic. I was contacted by another recruiter, she invited me to an interview with a group leader in two weeks. After that, they postponed my interview for a week and eventually canceled it a few hours before by automatic email saying that they completed their hiring process and thanking me for my time. Meanwhile, the first recruiter emailed me that everything is okay and she wishes me luck. So ridiculous. I wrote an answer to the recruiter asking for short feedback about this situation, but, of course, she just ghosted me. The very unexpected unprofessional attitude from such an impactful company. And a lot of my friends working at WU said it is a completely normal situation and just the tip of the iceberg. Wow, I hope they will make some revisions to their hr processes because the business will be losing time and reputation that way. This disordered process took almost three months.

We appreciate you leaving your detailed review, and I’m sorry it was a negative experience. This is not the journey we want our candidates to have while interviewing with our hiring teams. I will discuss this situation with the local team to work through the issues and make improvements to ensure our candidates don’t experience this in the future. We would like to make it up to you with a small gesture. If you are interested, please email careers@westernunion.com, and my team will be in touch. - James Stirling, Global Head of Talent Acquisition
