I was brought into the store during a peak service period asked to sit at a bench directly in-front of the front counter. As I sat there I was able to observe their day to day business volume and make a decision as to or not to continue with the interview process. I was offered a drink while I waited

Very easy, they look at your cv, your experience and you have a single interview and sit down with another manager to discuss skills and see if you are a good fit.

Interview
I interviewed with the operating partner (GM) at a local store. From there, I received a phone call from the District Manager and we had an impromptu, informal phone interview. Following that, I met with another operating partner of the store they wanted me to work at and the District Manager. I was offered the job and started the hiring process but ultimately turned it down due to a competing offer with my current company. I love the emphasis on the work life balance they offer as well as the PTO and overall benefits but ultimately went where the title and the money was.
