very easy and relaxed. Management was down to earth. Answered any questions that I had. Benefits and pay were both discussed at interview. Managers seemed attentive and willing to listen.
Typical phone interview then in person with plant tour accompanied with fellow operation personnel. Technical questions asked and explanations given about the industries they are in and products made. HR, management of plant and then talked with technical director.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Whemco (Pittsburgh, PA) in Feb 2010
Interview
Applied at location in Homestead in March 2010. Called a month later to set-up for an interview date.
When I got there at 11:00pm I was taken for a tour of the company. I was asked If I had ever did any trouble shooting PLC's? Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's a plus.+
After the interview and tour of plant, I was escorted to the HR office where I took a test that consisted of 60 questions. Electronic trouble shooting, Ladder Diagram questions, Triac and DIac questions, Transistor and wheatstone bridge operation. I wasnt finished with school at the time and new nothing about Triac's and Diac's and Process Control. I flunked the test for sure when it came to the ladder diagrams. 2 weeks later got a rejection letter.
