I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Wild Birds Unlimited (Charleston, SC) in Feb 2022
Interview
First they reached out about setting up a phone interview where we discussed my work history, interests, basics of the job, etc.
After the phone interview, an in-person interview was held. In this interview we went over my knowledge of birds and the hobby, what the day to day looks like, hours and benefits, etc.
Shortly after the in-person interview I got an offer.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
They asked about my interest in nature and songbirds.

Interview
Pretty standard interview, basic get-to-know-you questions plus some questions aimed at determining your level of bird and nature knowledge. Not entirely mandatory to have prior knowledge but it certainly helps and they prefer to offer positions to people with an interest in nature.
There was a questionnaire and then during the actual interview they ask important questions about the availability and if you’re able to handle the customer experience and learn about a new hobby to better interact with the clientele
