I had an interview with my would-be manager via Zoom, and the interview went extremely well. I came recommended by a current employee and the gentleman with whom I was interviewing said that the recommendation seemed perfectly fitting. He said that I would be getting the job, but that he just had to pass the recommendation on to his manager. I was to hear back in two to three days, and two weeks went by without anything. I then had to reach out to my friend who told me that the second in command had a friend who she hired without interviewing for that position, which was the reason I never heard back. I thought the lack of communication and transparency was concerning from their end.
