I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wintermute in Mar 2021
Interview
Did 1 round only , did not expect the type of questions. I believe there are at 3 rounds . One had a coding and a quantitative assessment part , then a phone interview , I dont know the final part(s) .

Question 1
Computational Geometry and other standard programming questions
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wintermute (London, England) in Jan 2022
Interview
First online OA programming and quantitative reasoning, programming test is pretty hard on SWE level which is not usual for a trader role. The quant part is easy tho just high school level math. Then if you pass you get two technical interviews. First one is system design but high level via a presentation which you got 24 hours to prepare, second one is probability/math. The first one went fine but the second interviewer is extremely condescending and rude. First of all he was on his phone and constantly walking around idk why. For one of the questions He didn’t even understand the model I chose which is a very basic classification model and then when I tried to explain, he cut me off constantly with snide remarks. He also asked me how big is my gpa inflation which is inappropriate in my opinion because it’s an attack on my gpa and my academic level. The second interview lasted more than an hour when it was scheduled to be 30 minutes, and I think I did pretty bad on one of the questions. A week later got the rejection, but honestly I felt like I dodged a bullet. It’s ok if I am not qualified but it’s unnecessary to be rude.

Question 1
Make a statistics model to predict 2024 election outcome
I interviewed at Wintermute (London, England) in Jan 2022
Interview
Programming test, logical reasoning test before any interviews.
First round interview system design discussion.
Second round asked to predict outcome of an election. The interviewer was ignorant and aggressive when they didn't understand the relevant basic probability distributions for the question. They walked in/out of the room while interviewing, spent time on their phone, ended interview after 20 minutes with something along the lines of "I have other candidates to interview, goodbye". No opportunity to ask questions.
If you apply to this firm, be prepared to spend hours on tests and diagrams and have a similar interview experience. Waste of time overall.
