The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WiseTech Global (Melbourne) in Jul 2024
Interview
I recently went through the interview process for a Senior Software Engineer role at WiseTech. Overall, I would describe the process as challenging and thorough.
The process consisted of two stages:
Initial Call – This was more of a screening and discussion about my background, technical experience, and alignment with the role.
Technical Interview (1.5 hours) – This was a deep dive into the HackerRank assessment I had completed beforehand. The session involved reviewing my solutions in detail, explaining design decisions, and walking through potential optimizations. The questions themselves were not trivial — they tested both algorithmic thinking and practical coding skills.
The HackerRank portion was tough, definitely aimed at senior-level engineers. It covered problem-solving, efficiency, and clean code practices. The follow-up review required not just having working solutions, but also being able to clearly articulate my approach, trade-offs, and potential improvements.
Overall, I found the interview hard but fair. It’s the kind of process that rewards preparation in algorithms, data structures, and clean coding. WiseTech clearly values depth of understanding and the ability to defend your technical decisions.
Initial HR interview screening followed by Hackerrank test about data structures and algorithms that you havent touched since college. If you pass the Hackerrank test, you will be asked to take another timed exam which tests your logic and pattern recognition. Followed by face to face interview with team leaders. HR ghosted me afterwards.

Question 1
SOLID principles and how can my code be improved to be ready for production.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at WiseTech Global (Bengaluru) in Jun 2025
Interview
Engaged for 3-4 rounds with an in person office round. Total 10-12 hours of interview, Asked for documents, gave a verbal offer and then ghosted. Complete waste of time. First round was relevant, 3 medium /hard coding questions on Hackerrank. This was followed by a verbal and logical reasoning which were too many questions in limited time. Overengineered for a developer and felt like an MBA entrance. This was followed by 1.5 hours of interview with 2 panels who asked about my current project HLD, deep dives into individual components and why behind chosing them. This was followed by some basic questions on guess the output and why. This followed some more questions on the hackerrank coding round solution, their time and space complexity.
After this, IU was asked to come for an in person round in the office where I had 1.5 hour long system design round.
HR called after a few days and asked for documents. They gave a verbal offer but kept delaying ETA for official letter. Ghosted after a few weeks.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WiseTech Global (Sydney) in Apr 2025
Interview
It was a smooth process. A chat with recruiter, testing and then 2 rounds of technical interviews. Took about 2 weeks to go through the process. Very positive experience. Would recommend to anyone on the market as the company also offer competitive salary packages with shares.
