      Interview

Was a standard leetcode style interview that had nothing to do with frontend work. It would have fit more for an entry level backend engineering role vs a mid/senior interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at X (San Francisco, CA) in Jul 2016

      Interview

The interview process was straight forward, one phone screen, one technical phone screen, and one one site, where I met with 6 people across 3 time slots. The questions were straightforward, nothing tricky. I found the process pleasant overall. The only issue I had with the process was that it was so on rails the entire thing may have been done without ever reading my resume. Canned tech questions, and a set of 5 questions for each past job. They literally didn't ask me about past experience outside of generic "What were you most proud of?" I did not end up getting an offer, I suspect because they want focused javascript engineers as opposed to broader front end developers.

      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at X (Atlanta, GA) in Nov 2020

      Interview

Initial interview was with a recruiter. I had a challenge in which I was given 3 hrs to add 3 features to a game. After submitting, I never heard back from anyone about the status or whether or not I made it to the next round of interviews. I reached back out to the recruiter and never heard a thing. I thought that was pretty rude considering I spent 3 hours during the weekend to complete a challenge. Even if I didn't do well enough I would think some feedback would have been nice to receive.

      Interview

A personal interview first, then a technical interview, they are really clear and specific with the technical and basic skills that you need to work in the company and involve in their culture
