Interview
The interview process was very structured and conducted in a professional manner. First there was a talk with HR, and after that I had to a take-home assignment to assess some analytical skills. After it was approved, I went through a technical interview with a case study, and after that I went through two more interviews to assess soft skills and talk about my prior experiences in more detail.

5 Step interview process:
[1] Prescreen & Application Questions - After submitting an application, I received this within 2hrs, due in 2 business days. Analyze a dataset and answer some questions
[2] First-Round Interview - A 30min, HR style walk through resume, work experience and details of the role.
[3] Take-Home Assignment - A larger assignment due in 1 week. Don’t over complicate things and be able to explain your thought process well. Pay attention to detail and think about the problem from a finance perspective. After submission they responded back with questions based on the report and these required ad-hoc analysis to answer.
[4] Final Marathon Round Interview - A 4hr marathon, could be back to back on the same day or split between multiple days as your schedule permits.
[5] References - Finally 3 reference checks.
The recruiting team was very responsive and maintained communication throughout the process. Information about the process was available from the beginning, it was clear and extensive.

Very similar questions to the ones already mentioned here.
- Some follow up questions on the take home assignments. Your answers should have very thorough explanations and you need to be able to justify your reasoning behind why you take certain approaches
- Behavioral questions (e.g. tell me about a time when...)
- During the final interview round , there would be more questions about the take home assignment and a hypothetical scenario to analyze on the spot, not detailed but talk through the thought process and sketch what you think plots may look like.
- Then more work style, team member style, leadership style, culture fit and work experience style questions.

Interview
The process had several steps, which made it a bit exhausting at times. That said, all the interviewers were very kind and easy to talk to.
Most of the interviews seemed focused on making sure I clearly understood the role and how I would approach the work.
In total, the process included one screening interview, a take-home assignment, one technical interview, and two HR interviews.
Recruiter did not inform me that the interview will be recorded and transcribed using a 3rd party AI tool. A few days before the interview, I received a spam email from the AI company that went into my Promotions folder, informing me that YipitData uses it to record interviews. Despite declining it from the email and checking with the recruiter, I decided not to proceed with the interview. Be careful, as they are a market research company, you never know how they will use your personal data
