Application filled out online. Interview is a panel of 5-7 people, each taking turns to ask you questions. The interview lasted approximately 45 minutes. Questions were open ended, forcing you to speak at length. At the end of the interview you are given a length of time to give the interviewers a presentation on why they should hire you. Bring things like documentation boards, certificates for any classes you've taken on the side, and volunteer work you've done.
You are given 30 minutes in a room by yourself with some of the questions they will be asking on on a sheet of paper, you are allowed to make notes, but not take the paper home with you.
Questions included:
What is your experience in working with children?
What can you bring to the center that will be refreshing, fun, and different?
How do you handle stressful situations?
How do you handle difficult parents? Difficult children?
What are your methods of discipline?
Explain a time when you felt you were oppressed culturally.
