I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Zara (London, England) in May 2012
Interview
Group interview:
Individual presentation (name, where you are from, previous experience and education)
Dynamic briefing about the company/ A speaker gives a talk followed by a presentation and there are questions and interaction between candidates and the interviewer.
After the presentation, the group is divided in small groups. They have to dress a celebrity with zara style clothes and present this idea to the rest of the group and interview. A drawing of the idea is really helpful for this task.
Individual interview:
This part is purely practical and it only happens when you pass the group interview. The manager goes through your CV and talk about your education and relevant experience for the role. The manager explains the role, the hours, salary and type of contract. I would not expect anything unusual in this interview. It will always depend on the connection that you have with the person interviewing you and how you 'sell' yourself.
