I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Zebra Technologies (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2018
Interview
The interview was a solo virtual recording process. You are provided a text prompt, have 30 seconds to think of your response, then it starts recording. You are supposed to be able to review your response, but that feature wasn't functional. The questions were all general and not remotely specific to the role. It's possible that Zebra is trying to be ironic by asking a bunch of questions regarding what you know about them, yet won't take 5-10 minutes to actually get online and talk to you. The "interview" was possibly the most impersonal way to handle a personal task. Total laziness by the HR team/Hiring Manager. Felt more like a screen test audition than anything resembling an interview.
Thank you for your feedback. The video interviewing process is for our intern program only. We apologize if you felt as if the process was impersonal. We had over 14,000 intern candidates and this was just one step of the process.
