After doing an initial HR interview, I was given a task estimated to take 8-10 hours to complete. Despite my solution working out of the box and meeting all the stated requirements, I received a generic rejection stating that they are not moving forward with my application. I 100% respect their decision and understand there is always room for improvement, but I also expect a constructive feedback to get something out of the time I invested. I find this approach extremely disrespectful to my personal time and effort. If a company treats potential employees this way during the hiring process, it raises serious concerns about how they value their actual employees. It speaks volumes about the company—who would want to work for people that don’t care about the time and dedication of potential employees? This kind of hiring practice needs to stop.
