I had a phone interview with a recruiter, went very well. The recruiter was informative and asked good questions as well as had good answers, was very enthusiastic about me coming in for an in-person. I had two back to back interviews, one with the immediate supervisor. This went well and was more conversational, she was reading off a paper and taking notes as well. I think I clicked too much with her and let my guard down. My next interview was with the department head, she was very cordial and open. She jumped right in to ask me what I could do for this position and why I wanted it. They wanted someone to grow within the department. They constantly change and want someone who is ready to constantly evolve. I am that person, but said one thing that she took the wrong way. She went into speaking about their value system, I think it was too soon for this. She stressed the need for deep personal integrity, but isn't this something most companies would like employees to have? Felt like she was trying to crack me! Very corporate and strong value system, I am not used to this and may have been overwhelmed. I seemed to have bombed the second part because I was over-confident. Didn't work out, but decent experience and great to see their offices.
