      Graduate Electrical Engineer Interview

      3 Jan 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at bp (London, England) in Sept 2015

      Interview

Started off standard: 1. one of the longest application form that I ever had to fill - almost all parts are repeated and very badly organised 2. Online tests - numerical and verbal 3. Telephone interview - lasted 30 minutes - standard HR interview nothing technical 4. This is the most humiliating part: I applied on the day that the application was open and completed stage 3 by September. I have been told that I was successful and will be contacted regarding a technical interview within 2 weeks. However, 2 months down the line, after I tried to contact BP many times, they sent me a rejection claiming that the vacancy is full. This is obviously a lie as I was one of the first applicants. This also happened to several of my friends and we could not recommend a company that is so dishonest about its hiring process. Overall it costed us an average around 50 hours of our lives that we are never getting back.
