Interview
It took me just under two weeks to hear back after sending my application, and I was emailed an interview offer. The interview lasted roughly 40-60 minutes, and for about 20 minutes of the time I spent doing an assessment booklet and for the remainder of the time I interviewed. I did the assessment booklet first which consisted of health and safety situations, food safety and basic mathematics and patterns testing if you can spot differences. The health and safety questions were to determine what your responsibility is as a customer assistant in regards to shop lifters, food freshness, fuel spillage, attempts of underage alcohol purchases and employee safety. I also had to look at pictures where there was a clear health and safety violation - I had to point out the violation and explain what I would do if I walked into the situation and saw it unfold. I liked the assessment booklet as it does test each candidate on how they assess a day-to-day situation that will most likely arise on the shop floor. The manager took a copy of my ID and then started talking to me about my work experience, possible working hours and so on. Overall the interview was a really positive experience, it wasn't too difficult and I heard back a couple of hours later.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at bp (Kewdale) in Jan 2025
Interview
Pretty straightforward, however, it was disgusting to find that the organization would ghost you after giving positive feedback along with verbal confirmation. Should have a professional approach towards hiring, cannot just ghost applicants.

Question 1
(The interviewer had a questionnaire which felt like yes/no questions, was not a real interview. There was no conversation as the interviewer was writing down everything I said and I had to speak at a pace to ensure she could write everything)
