- I applied through linkedin, got reached out by their recruiters for an introductory call, with the recruiter and one of the engineers, had some tech talk as to previous technologies being worked with and how things worked in the company. - Coding Task, Develop a simple game, shouldn't take more than 4 hours, with some over achievement tasks - I developed the game, followed best practices, over achieved it, communicated perfectly in the PR and made additional commits, still received a rejection as to it was not the level they were looking for. keep in mind that it was a mid level position, reddit, stack exchange code reviews all verified code health and best practices were followed in the code. when I asked for additional feedback, no reply was given even though it was explicitly implied in the rejection email as to if additional feedback is requested, it will be provided. not even a code review call was scheduled for it to discuss the solution and how I came up with it.
