      Sound Designer Interview

      31 Jul 2012
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at dSonic (Boston, MA)

      Interview

Interview for internship was in 3 stages - first he looks at your demo, then calls you in for a brief actual interview which was short and to the point - his big thing is he wants to make sure you really do play and enjoy video games and audio, and the third is a day-long workshop type thing where you piece together horse noises to see how you respond to his direction

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was surprised by how much he felt it was important that you like video games in order to work on them, but it made a lot of sense later. The horse exercise was also very interesting and challenging, it proved very quick how little i knew at the time
