Interview
I was asked to come for the interview based on the contacts I had. A friend of mine knew, the Chief Consultant. The office was a nea small one. There was an air of informality and friendlness around. The people there made me welcome and comfrtable. The panel consisted of two people. The interview started with brief introduction of my background. The types of roles I did in my previous job. The challenges I faced and how I over came them. The key controbutions I made to the organization. The tough decsions, I had to make. Did I make any mistakes. I thought they interviewed me sublly on my soft skills, apart from social skills. There was scenario presented and I was asked do a presentation for 30 minutes. I was given 20 minutes to prepare. I thought I did quite well. The company officials gave bit about their background and business and then asked me if i had any questions. I had a few questions to ask and got them clarified. I was told that, they were seeing 7 more candidates for the same postions and would come back to me in a three days time. After a a couple of days, i got a call, asking me to come for an another meeting. This time I met with the one of the owner's of the company over a breakfast at a five star hotel. He asked me a lot of questions about me as a person, my likes, dislikes, my family and why I applied for this job, and also checked with me if I had any issues of travelling often, last bit not the least, my salary expectations.. I thought the interview process was very subtle and clever way of knowing my strenghts and weakness. On the whole it was very positive. In a week's time, I got my offer based on my expecation.
