I was scheduled for an interview and I received a Google notification less than 10 minutes before the interview was scheduled to start that the interview had been canceled. No note, no email, just the cancelation. After I saw the cancelation, I reached out to the company to ask if this was to be rescheduled and no response. I find it incredibly frustrating and rude to cancel an interview on such short notice with ZERO explanation or acknowledgement. It is totally fine if they filled the position with another candidate or put it on hold etc, but to not say anything to me clearly shows that they do not value my time at all.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ePlus in Feb 2024
Interview
ePlus reached out to fill a local Product Manager job I was overqualified for. Literally, I aced every conversation, was flexible on my rate, and had all the technical skills covered. Great conversation with the client. Then......., I literally never heard anything. A week goes by, I reach out - to be told they'd check in, and I've heard ZERO. Now, I'm realistic; I get that I won't be hired for every role. But to hear nothing back, not a word, is unprofessional, insulting, and gross. Do not rely on these people to do anything they say they will - they won't. Expect them to jump you through hoops, ask for interviews on a dime, and expect they'll do nothing they claim they will.
