I was approached by this company for a senior leadership role. Post, coordination with HR, The first round was taken by an outside consultant because they didnt have the right skill set internally to conduct the interview. I sailed through the first round successfully.
The second round was scheduled with Engineering Head and the person didnt show up on the scheduled timeslot citing customer escalation as notified to me by HR.
. Second instance of the interview was scheduled and again there was a " No Show"
.When i expressed my concern on the unprofessional behaviour, the HR requested to reschedule one last time. This time, the interviewer shous up This interviewer asked high level questions had zero involvement in the interview process and sounded sleepy, disinterested and posed very high level questions.
It was clear to me that i was way too qualified than the one who was taking my interview. Later, they informed me with a letter of regret that they wont be proceeding with my candidature.
Overall, the experience has been quite unprofessional. Such companies don't have a good understanding of how to be on time and take interviews professionally. I mean, Why waste somebody's precious time when there are insecuritites prevelant within the system. Hire only if you have inclination and the budget,
Funnily, they are hunting for this position for almost a year now. I am not surprised that they are still not able to close this position. Avoid this company. Better organizations are out there.
