I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at methinks (Mountain View, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
Thoughtful and informative interview. It was educational and challenging as well as proving insight. Background relevancy for the position. All senior executives from the company participated. All parties got something out of the process.

Question 1
Favorite TV show whether or not I liked fried chicken
First part was a homework that consisted in writing TF code for image classification. Second was non-technical on-site conversation with the CEO where they explained what they do and I had chances to ask question.

Why training CNN with concatenated original and flipped images can help for stroke segmentation
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at methinks (Mountain View, CA) in Feb 2020
Interview
The co-founder conducted most of the process. They started with a phone interview with the co-founder, and then an in-person interview a week or two later with the co-founder and the research lead. After the in-person, they asked for a trial research project using the methinks platform. You had to come up with a research question, use the platform to interview at least one person, and write a research report using the data collected from the interview. After that, it was a waiting game until I finally got a response from the co-founder. I wasn't offered a position, but he went into great detail about the reasons why he didn't give an offer, which was appreciated and very helpful. The process took a while, about 3 to 4 weeks, but overall not a bad experience.
